Luke Marston is one of the most exceptional Coast Salish artist producing work today. Many are familiar with his work, as in recent years he has worked on several prestigious commissions including a bentwood box for the truth and reconciliation commission, and more recently the “Shore to Shore” bronze installed in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.

We recently were approached by clients who had fallen in love in with Luke’s clean and modern style. They had previously seen a “Blue Heron” paddle Luke had done, and wanted something along the same lines. The paddle that Luke produced was above and beyond what we had expected, and included a much more elaborately carved handle than we had anticipated.
