Jazmine McCrimmon-Cook Kwakwaka’wakw, b. 1995

Jazmine McCrimmon-Cook (b. 1995, Victoria, BC)  is the daughter of noted artist Rande Cook and has been working with him since 2011. Rande has established himself as a progressive and provocative artist in the Northwest Coast art market, as well as a strong leader within his Kwakwaka'wakw community, carrying two chieftainships. Jazmine has participated in a number of potlatches and feasts hosted by her family. Within her practice, Jazmine explores the contemporary technique of sandblasting while staying true to traditional formline shapes.
