Art Toronto 2021

October 29 - 31, 2021

Metro Toronto Convention Centre, 255 Front Street West, Toronto, ON

Project Space

This year we will be featuring the work of Métis artist Jason Baerg in one of Art Toronto’s eight project spaces. These spaces are intended for curated, site-specific installations.

As an influential artist at the forefront of Indigenous Futurities (a movement that encourages the speculation and manifestation of alternative narratives), Baerg’s new body of work, Optimal Futures, will speak to the deep time of the place we now call “Toronto” through laser-cut painting and assemblage techniques.

Booth A01

In relation and response to Baerg’s Indigenous Futurities project space, we will be curating a booth with works by Beau Dick, Rande Cook, Cole Speck, Corey Bulpitt, and Mungo Martin that illustrates the trajectory of the history of West Coast art from past to present to futures.
