KYRAN YEOMANS

(B. 1988, Vancouver, BC)

Kyran Yeomans comes from a long line of esteemed Haida artists - the artistic talents from both his mother and father, Don and Trace Yeomans, are celebrated along the Northwest Coast. Kyran learned how to carve from his father in 2005 and has been actively carving ever since. His intricate panels reflect his mastery of formline and his clean aesthetic, as well as highlight his fresh colour palette. Kyran works in many scales, ranging from detailed miniatures to monumental totem poles. His most recent project consisted of two intricate poles measuring 9 feet and 13 feet and representing the family of the client. In addition to carving, Kyran is a multi-disciplinary artist who works in documentary filmmaking, photography, and music.
