This panel is modeled after an old bentwood box. What the image is depicting, through an abstract form line, is a character on one side trying to devour the one on the other side but is being met with resistance and an inability to truly open its mouth. The characters are restricted by the physical borders of the panel. I prefer for the viewer to speculate and infer their own meanings beyond that.
